Granger Posts Double-Double, Tigers Use The 3-Ball To Roll Past UAPB In Home Finale

Kolby Granger had a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds as TSU made its most three-pointers in a game since 2018 as they defeated Arkansas-Pine Bluff 81-56.

TSU jumped out to an 11-0 lead led by seven points from Kehlin Farooq but UAPB worked its way back into the game with an 8-0 run as Quentin Bolton Jr. recorded six points to spark an 8-0 run as they trailed 11-8 with 14:52 left. TSU would outscore UAPB 5-0 to lead 16-8 but UAPB wouldn't go away as they found themselves down 20-17 with 6:38 left.

The Tiger defense would force four turnovers over final 6:35 and the offense heated up again as they made four three-pointers over that same timespan en route to outscoring UAPB 16-6 for a 36-23 halftime lead.

Granger took matters into his own hands to open the second half as he scored 11 points during a five-minute span which sparked a 16-7 run and a 52-32 lead. TSU never looked back from that point as they hit six more three-pointers.

Granger had his first double-double of the year with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Farooq also had a season-high with 19 points and four assists while grabbing six rebounds. Zaire Hayes added 16 while Grayson Carter blocked there shots and grabbed eight rebounds.
