HOUSTON — Texas Southern women's soccer continued its dominant run through SWAC play with a 2–0 victory over Alcorn State on Sunday afternoon at Durley Field.
Tess Kelder opened the scoring in the 41st minute with her first collegiate goal, curling in an unassisted strike to give the Lady Tigers a 1–0 lead heading into halftime.
Kamara Bradley added her sixth goal of the season just three minutes into the second half, finishing a well-placed assist from Melissa Knutson in the 48th minute to seal the win.
Texas Southern outshot Alcorn State 14–10, including a 9–4 advantage in the second half. The Lady Tigers also earned four corner kicks after the break and held 55 percent of possession.
Goalkeepers Alessandra Bastidas and Alicia Audu combined for a clean sheet, with Audu making three saves in the second half to preserve the shutout.
Bradley led TSU with four shots, two on target, while Liliane Clase Baez added four attempts of her own. The Lady Tigers were whistled for nine fouls and picked up two yellow cards in the second half.
Texas Southern returns to action Friday when it travels to Prairie View A&M kick off at 7 pm.
