TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The TSU men's and women's cross country teams will commence its 2024 season with the SWAC Cross Country Championships Monday morning starting at 8 a.m. at Apalachee Regional Park.
The men are looking to defend their 2023 title as they enter the year with several new faces but have the same standards as TSU has four of the top 10 times in the SWAC in an 8K race this season as Manual Garza (27:05.08) and Brandon Adolphus (27:12.2) have the top times on the squad. On the women's side, sophomores Alyvia Brown and Jessica Williams lead the way as Brown has the SWAC's top time in a 5K run as she ran 18:07 in Dallas on Oct. 5. Williams has the fifth-fastet time in the SWAC with a 19:06.03 also in Dallas.
The meet will be streamed live on the SWAC Digital Network as the men will run at 8 a.m. followed by the women at 9 a.m.
