AMES, Iowa- Jeremy Combs led all TSU scorers with 16 points as the Texas Southern Tigers fell to Iowa State 85-73 in non-conference action on Monday.
Trayvon Reed posted another double-double finishing the game with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Jalyn Patterson and Derrick Bruce tallied 11 and 10 points respectively as TSU outscored ISU in the second half 38-37.
For the game the Tigers shot 35.1 percent from the field while committing 10 turnovers. Iowa State shot 48.3 percent from the field while defensively TSU was able to force the Cyclones into committing 16 turnovers.
Texas Southern returns to the court next to face San Diego State on the road.
