SAN DIEGO, Calif- A hot shooting night from San Diego State helped secure the Aztecs a 103-64 win over the Texas Southern Tigers on Wednesday.
Devocio Butler and Derrick Bruce paced the Tigers offensive attack as the duo combined for nearly half of TSU's point production tallying 15 points each.
SWAC Co-Player of the Week Trayvon Reed was limited to 7 points and 6 rebounds. Texas Southern trailed 49-28 at the break as the Tigers never found any consistent offensive rhythm in the second half.
TSU shot 33.3 percent from the field while SDSU shot 52.3 percent while scoring 44 points in the paint and 22 second chance points.
Texas Southern will now travel to face Evansville on Nov. 18
th as they continue non-conference play on the road.
