SPOKANE, Wash.- The Texas Southern Tigers Basketball team dropped their first game of the season losing to #3 Gonzaga on the road on Saturday night.
Trayvon Reed led the team in scoring with 14 points and 16 rebounds. Jalyn Patterson and Devocio Butler chipped in 13 and 12 points respectively.
TSU trailed 46-24 after the first half of play. Gonzaga added to its lead in the second half behind the solid offensive production of Brandon Clarke who turned in a game high 19 points.
The Tigers shot only 34.3 percent from the floor while Gonzaga shot 52.1 percent from the field.
Texas Southern will now get set to travel to face Iowa State on Monday, Nov. 12
th at 7:00 pm.
