HOUSTON, Texas – Alabama State won the season series versus Texas Southern as the Lady Hornets pushed past the Lady Tigers Monday night, 58-48.
Daniele Ewert came off the bench, pacing ASU with 13 points. Britney Wright and Ashanti Spencer managed 11 points – Spencer with five rebounds, while Jasmine Peeples grabbed 11 boards with nine points.
Joyce Kennerson recorded a game-high 24 points, going 5-for-11 from the field, 3-for-6 in three-point range and 11-for-17 at the free throw line.
Brianna Sidney secured 11 points and three rebounds, while Toni Cheadle owned a team-high seven rebounds with five points. Keiana Vines was held at scoring four points.
