Lady Tigers get back on track with road win

GREENWOOD, Miss. – Texas Southern topped Mississippi Valley State, 85-30, Saturday afternoon at Harris Arena.

Toni Cheadle and Breasia McElrath each put up 15 points, while Keiana Vines scored 12 points. Also scoring in double figures was Taylah Hudson with 11 points and Joyce Kennerson with 10 points. Brianna Sidney collected a game-high nine rebounds – seven being defensive.

The Lady Tigers secured a shooting percentage of 55.4, a three-point range percentage of 42.1 and a free throw percentage of 68.2.

MVSU was led by Ashley Beals who produced a game-high 21 points with four rebounds. She went 8-for-13 in shooting, 5-for-7 from the line. MVSU struggled in shooting, claiming an overall field goal percentage of 29.3.
