Tigers baseball wins non-conference game versus UHV 8-3

VICTORIA, Texas- The Texas Southern Tigers baseball team got back to winning ways on Wednesday with an 8-3 victory over the University of Houston-Victoria Jaguars.

The win snapped a 12 game winning streak for UHV.

Ryan Lazo and Christopher Scroggins each contributed to the offensive production of the Tigers tallying two RBIs each. 

Zach Welz and Gerreck Jimenez also tallied one RBI a piece.

Ryan Rios got the start and the win for Texas Southern on the mound as he garnered five innings of work allowing one hit, one earned run while striking out three batters.  

Texas Southern will get back to conference play this upcoming weekend as they travel to face Grambling State on the road.
