LORMAN, Miss.-Â Texas Southern had five Lady Tigers to score in double-figures as they cruised to their first conference victory over Alcorn State, 75-66.
Brianna Sidney led TSU playing an entire 40 minutes and scoring 16 points. Alexus Johnson and Diamonisha Sophus added 13 points apiece, Morgan Simmons recorded 12 points and Miracle Davis chipped in 11 points.
The game was close throughout the majority of the first half with the Lady Tigers leading at the half, 30-27. After the half, the Lady Tigers extended their lead to 37-30 on a three-pointer by Davis with just over one minute into the second half.
The Lady Tigers kept easing away going ahead by as many as 13, 52-39 with 13:10 to play and the Lady Braves never managed to recover from the deficit.
