Lady Tigers win second straight game defeating Jackson State at home

HOUSTON, Texas - The Lady Tigers of Texas Southern defeated the Lady Tigers of Jackson State 70-53 Monday night at the HPE Arena.

Alexus Johnson recorded her fourth double-double this season with 19 points and 11 boards to lead TSU.

Brianna Sidney added 12 points, five steals and four rebounds.  For Jackson State, Ayanna Lynn led the way with 10 points.  Ayanna Hardy-Fuller pitched nine points.

Texas Southern shot 40.7 percent from the field, 19.0 percent from the three-point line and 64.3 percent from the charity stripe. 

As a team, Jackson State shot 34.7 percent from the field, 28.6 percent from the three-point range and 61.9 percent from the free-throw line.
