Sanders, a native of Evanston, Ill., was named the Assistant Director of Sports Medicine at Texas Southern University in December 2021. She works primarily with the women’s basketball, volleyball, cheer, dance, and band programs.

Prior to her time at TSU, Sanders spent 2 ½ years at Southern University A&M College, where she worked primarily with women’s basketball and volleyball teams. She attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Ark. where she graduated in 2019 with her Master of Athletic Training degree. Sanders also the spent summer of 2018 fulfilling an internship working with Northwestern University’s football team.

Sanders graduated in 2016 from Texas Southern University, where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Human Performance. There she worked with multiple sports teams and received her teaching certification.

Sanders is CPR/AED certified and is licensed by Texas and Louisiana as an athletic trainer, and certified nationally through the Board of Certification.
