Bart Jameson

Jameson was named Texas Southern's Director of Sports Medicine in January of 2020.

A native of Houston, Jameson brings a wealth of experience from the professional and collegiate ranks. He served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Indiana University from 2013-15 before completing a season-long internship with the NFL's San Francisco 49ers. In 2019, Jameson moved over to Major League Baseball and spent time with the Chicago White Sox, working primarily with the Triple-A affiliate Charlotte Knights as an Assistant Athletic Trainer.

In addition to his duties in the training room at Texas Southern, Jameson is also tasked with developing the next generation of athletic trainers as an Associate Professor of Athletic Training in the Department of Health, Kinesiology & Sport Studies at TSU. In August of 2022, Jameson earned TSU's McCleary Teaching Excellence Award, which demonstrates excellence in teaching for teachers who've been in residence at TSU for at least two academic years.

Jameson completed his Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Sciences from Texas Tech University and his Masters in Athletic Training from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2013. He is licensed in Texas and certified nationally through the Board of Certification as an Athletic Trainer. Additionally, he is CPR/AED certified and a certified strength and conditioning specialist.

Jameson is happily married to his new wife, Kristina.
