Tigers Fall In Home Finale

Florida A&M scored early and often as they closed out the series with a 15-4 win over Texas Southern on Sunday.

The Rattlers plated three in the top of the first as a result of three-RBI double followed by a sac fly in the second. The Tigers responded in the bottom of the second with back-to-back homers from Damien Garcia and Jaden Flores to cut the score to 4-2.

After a scoreless third by both teams, FAMU broke it open with a six-run fourth while scoring another in the fifth to lead 11-2. TSU would add a pair of runs in the fifth and sixth as Jonathan Trejo drove in a run along with Jaden Jones' solo homer to right field. Atter two innings of scoreless play, FAMU tacked on three runs while TSU closed the ninth out with a scoreless frame.

Jones, Garcia and Tyler Legendre led TSU with two hits apiece while Kewan Braziel was tagged with the loss.

TSU is back on action at Bethune-Cookman on Thursday at 7 p.m.
