GRAMBLING, La. - Texas Southern's bats were strong against Grambling State Tigers on Friday, but it wasn't enough as Texas Southern fell 12-7.

Jonathan Trejo singled down the right field line, which helped Texas Southern tie the game at one in the top of the fourth. A double by Jaden Jones gave Texas Southern the lead, 3-1, in the top of the fifth.
A seven-run seventh inning gave GSU a 9-5 lead. TSU cut it to 9-7 in the eighth but GSU answered with a three-run homer in the bottom frame for a 12-7 lead.
Damian Garcia and Jones were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Texas Southern. Texas Southern stole three bases in the game.
