Volleyball Sweeps Huston-Tillotson

Texas Southern volleyball dominated from start-to-finish in a 3-0 win over Huston-Tillotson on Wednesday night inside the H&PE Arena.
 
TSU led set one 10-3 but the Rams closed the gap to 12-10 before outscoring HTU 13-4 to claim a 25-14 win. TSU jumped out to a 10-5 set two margin and set the tone as they closed out the set with a 14-4 surge for a 25-9 win. The Tigers wasted no time in set three with a 12-4 lead that was extended to 19-9. Both teams would mirror each other over the next few plays until two kills from Trinidie Davis closed out a 3-0 run to end the match.
 
Lauren Battle led TSU with nine kills followed seven from Morgynne McQueen. Kennedi Walker and Ava Ray had 15 and 14 assists, respectively followed by 15 dogs from Angelika Rusin.
 
TSU is back in action this Saturday for a pair of matches versus Sam Houston and Lamar at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. in Huntsville, Texas.
