TSU fell 8-0 to nationally ranked Louisiana in the opener on Saturday.

Â
TSU had an opportunity in the fourth to get on the board as they loaded the bases with one out. However, UL struck out the final two batters to escape the jam. TSU had a pair of singles in the sixth but couldn't capitalize once again as the inning ended with a strikeout.

Julia Bilbao had a hit and drew a pair of walks along with a hit from Haley Castro. Naomi Reyes fell to 0-2 on the season after the start on the mound.

NORTH TEXAS 12, TSU 0
A pair of four-run innings pushed North Texas past TSU in the nightcap on Saturday.
Â
TSU was on the verge of getting out the opening inning unscathed but a bases loaded walk with two outs moved North Texas ahead 1-0. UNT added a run in the second and crossed home four in the third as they were aided by a wild pitch to move a runner into scoring position and a throwing error.
Â
UNT moved ahead 8-0 in the fourth but TSU would attempt to cut into the lead as Bilbao singled followed by Tamera McKnight's double to move Bilbao to third. However, the scoring threat ended with a strikeout.
Â
Another four-run inning by UNT put the game out of reach for TSU as the Eagles picked up their second win over TSU in two days.
Â
TSU finished with three hits as McKnight, Bilbao and Daryn Haslam had one hit each. Jazmine Gendorf fell to 0-2 as she was one of three pitchers to see action.
