Tigers Downed By Arizona In Wildcat Classic Finale

TUCSON, Ariz. – Texas Southern closed out the final day of the Wildcat Classic with a 3-0 loss to tourney host Arizona.

TSU dropped the opening set 25-12 but put up a valiant effort in set two as they fell 25-18 behind a match-best nine kills. TSU dropped the final set by a 25-12 decision.

Freshman Chenise Cook led TSU with seven kills followed by four from Thalia Cordero Moreno. Aeris Ramsey finished with 12 assists while Nia Ford added eight digs.

TSU is back in action on Tuesday night at McNeese State.
