EDINBURG- The Texas Southern Lady Tigers soccer team dropped their home opener on Friday losing to UT-Rio Grande Valley by a score of 4-1.
After falling behind 3-0 Texas Southern's Kayla Smith found the back of the net to close the gap to 3-1.
UTRGV would add one more goal toward the end of the second half to bring a close to the game's scoring.
In their second match of the season TSU dropped a 2-0 decision to Portland State.
PSU scored both of its goals in the first half while limiting TSU to a total of five shots on goal.
Texas Southern will now get set to face Southern Mississippi on Friday, August 24 at 4:00 pm in Hattiesburg, Miss.
