HOUSTON- The Texas Southern Tigers football team suffered a 42-21 setback at home against Alabama A&M on Saturday.
After falling behind 14-0, Texas Southern tied the game at 14 all at the 6:32 mark of the 2
nd quarter before AAMU added two additional scores to close out the half ahead 28-14.
The second half saw the Tigers get within seven points (28-21) but the Bulldogs closed the game on a 14-0 scoring run to seal the victory.
Texas Southern amassed 367 yards of total offense (145 R, 222 P) while allowing AAMU to tally 441 total offensive yards (226 R, 221 P).
Brad Woodard led all TSU rushers with 91 yards on the ground including a 64-yard touchdown run at the 10:31 mark of the 3
rd quarter.
Tariq Buchanan hauled in seven receptions for 93 yards and a touchdown, while quarterback Glen Cuiellette went 21-46 for 222 yards, two touchdowns, with 2 interceptions.
The Tigers return home to face Grambling State on Saturday, October 13 at BBVA Compass Stadium.
