LAWRENCE, Kan. – Texas Southern fell to Kansas 72-65 Sunday afternoon at Allen Fieldhouse.
TSU's Jazzmin Parker was the game's leading scorer with 25 points. She knocked down three of the team's four three-pointers and shot 50 percent from the field. This was her first time back on the court since injury kept her out all last season.
Center Kiana Vines also gave the Jayhawks problems in the lane, tallying a team-high four blocks and seven rebounds, behind 18 points on 9-of-13 shooting.
For the Jayhawks, Lauren Aldridge led the scoring with 17 points, paired with a game-high seven assists and Jada Brown logged five offensive rebounds and eight points, Timeka O'Neal also posted 12 points on 4-of-6 shooting from beyond the arc.Â
The Lady Tigers forced 13 turnovers and held the Jayhawks to a field goal percentage of .411.
