Volleyball defeats Prairie View A&M to close out tourney play

HOUSTON- The Texas Southern Lady Tigers volleyball team defeated Prairie View A&M in four sets on Saturday winning 3-1. TSU closed out play at the 2014 Texas Southern Lady Tigers Invitational with a 1-2 record. 

"We played well at times but we definitely have a lot of improvement," said TSU head coach Jocelyn Adams. "We have a lot of depth so right now we are giving many of our players the chance to step up and compete."

Texas Southern will compete in SMU's volleyball tournament this upcoming weekend on Sept. 5-6. The Lady Tigers return home on Sept. 9 versus McNeese State.
