Tristan Ham

Tristan Ham starts his first season as an assistant coach for the TSU track & field program with a specialization in jumps, pole vaulting and combined events.
 
Ham etched his name as one of the top track & field student-athletes of all-time in the SWAC as a multiple SWAC Champion while at Prairie View A&M.
 
A SWAC record-holder in the pole vault, Ham also was a standout heptathlete and decathlete as he won the 2017 SWAC Outdoor Championships in the decathlon and the 2018 hepthalon SWAC Outdoor title. He also won the 2020 SWAC Indoor Championship in the hepthalon. In the pole vault, Ham won eight individual titles over the course of his career which include multiple SWAC Indoor and Outdoor titles along with titles at Kansas State, Texas Tech, Texas State, Rice and Prairie View A&M. Ham also earned Most Outstanding Field Performer honors at the 2018 SWAC Indoor Championship and was named Prairie View A&M’s top field performer on multiple occasions.
 
A native of Coldspring, Texas, Ham earned a degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Prairie View A&M and also holds a USATF Level I Certification.
