ARLINGTON, Texas- The Texas Southern Lady Tigers softball team found themselves in the winners column after an impressive 3-1 victory over Detroit-Mercy on Saturday.
The win was the Lady Tigers first of the season as they got a solid outing inside the circle from Jasmine Fulmore as she pitched a completed game allowing just five hits and one run.
Texas Southern's Brianna Simpson drove in Texas Southern first run of the day and TSU did not look back from that point.
Marisa Maldonado and Precious Alvizo each contributed an RBI as the Lady Tigers improved their overall record to 1-3 on the season.Â
