HOUSTON- The Texas Southern Lady Tigers softball team opened their three game series with a five inning 9-0 win over the Prairie View A&M Lady Panthers.
Madison Staton threw a no hitter as she only allowed one batter to reach base on balls while striking out a total of three PVAMU batters.
Briana Parker paced TSU offensive attack as she drove in three RBIs while collecting two hits. Shortstop Thomasina Garza also drove in two RBIs during the contest.
"I like the way we hit the ball today for the most part," said TSU head coach Worley Barker. "Right now we're going to have to work on getting more production from the bottom of our line-up."
